I have a friesian horse which developed on its rear leags "scratches" down by the hoof area. Lord knows I didn't want to shave off the feathers as many said I had to . So I trimed them slightly by the top and then sprayed the wound spray liberally every time I was up riding and rubbed it into the scratches. IT WORKS! Maybe because its a liquid it gets right in to the feathers ( I realy soaked it in), but it worked definitly becuase it's TEA TREE OIL.
Try it, its alot less evasive then cutting those beautiful feathers off your Freisian Horse.....
